CEN Impacted by IT Infrastructure Incident at ISO

ISO CS informed us that they are operating in a degraded mode due to an IT infrastructure incident (storage device breakdown) that happened on Wednesday 2022-01-26 afternoon. This incident is also impacting CEN applications and services.

The outage they are facing is of technical nature and not the result of a security breach of their systems. They had no other option than to completely restore the file storage systems since the last backup (dated 2022-01-25 8:00 pm CET).

Which means that any document loaded or any operation done after 2022-01-25 8:00 pm CET might be lost. Detailed information will follow at a later stage.

Some services that ISO operates for CEN (i.e. CEN Documents, eCommittee, eBalloting, …) have been shut down and will remain unavailable until the restoration process is completed.

Projex-Online, Working Area, Quick Search and Submission Interface are currently also unavailable since they have dependencies with certain services hosted at ISO (i.e. Global Directory).

This situation will most certainly impact you in the coming days and weeks. The entire ISO IT team is fully dedicated to this and is doing its best to keep the impact as low as possible and get all our systems back online.

We will regularly keep you informed about the progress made.

We thank you for your patience during this downtime and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
