New CEN SD Home portal

ISO is currently in the process of developing a new portal called ‘SD Home’, which consolidates applications such as Meetings, SD Documents, eBalloting and the GD across ISO, CEN and ISOlutions platforms into a single, user-friendly interface.

The ‘SD Home’ portal will provide a more coherent and user-centric overview of key information relevant to all users involved in the standards development processes.

The new portal platform is intented to provide a more coherent, user-centric overview

Over the coming months, new features will be introduced to facilitate access to pertinent information and resources. The implementation process will unfold in several stages:

1. Launch of the new ‘SD Home Portal’ on 29th May, 2024: same content, different look and feel.

  • The first step involves a technical and User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) upgrade of the current CEN portal.
  • Users will access the new ‘SD Home’ interface, which will feature an updated design system and provide access to all applications currently housed under CEN Portal.
  • An automatic redirection from the CEN Portal will be set up, and the URL for ‘Home’ will be distinct and bookmarkable.

Note for the User Administrators: The user creation process in the Global Directory has been recently modified, with accounts now being automatically activated. User administrators will still have the ability to send reset password links to users, when necessary, from the Global directory. Please find more in the release notes here.

2. Introduction of new features and improvements throughout 2024:

  • Contextualized display of information related to CEN activities.
  • List of expected actions for users based on their roles and committees (“what do I need to do”?), then in-context resources associated with the execution of task (“How do I do it?”).
  • Centralized management of user profiles and application settings within the new portal.

By end of 2024, users will be able to access all relevant content, activities and working areas (ISO, CEN and/or National) from a single platform.

We look forward to providing you with a seamless experience as we move into this new phase.
