Normative references are a fundamental component of harmonized standards, they must be dated, active and published to support the presumption of conformity. In EN ISO candidate harmonized standards, dating Normative references through Clause 2 of the ISO document is the preferred method.
The Table ZA.2, added to the Annex ZA, provided a solution for the Normative references not dated in the Clause 2 of the ISO document. A recent BT decision has further expanded the scope of the Table ZA.2, giving the possibility to Technical Bodies to correct outdated or withdrawn Normative references in EN ISO deliverables.
